The comedy based on the play by Russian playwright Stepan Lobozerov "Family Portrait with a Stranger" is an ironic story about how in the Russian countryside a city artist Viktor is moved into a family of four, who is invited by the local authorities to decorate a club for a holiday. And everything would be fine, but in this family there is a young beauty Tanya, on whom the young artist immediately laid eyes, which the local Mikhail, who is also not indifferent to this girl, did not like very much. In order to keep his "love vacancy", Mikhail announces to the family that the city artist is a regular client of the "mental hospital", and to him, in turn, that the family he was moved into is all "off the rails".
