On April 26, a requiem meeting dedicated to the Day of the Chernobyl tragedy was held in Zhodino on the territory of the Church of St. Michael the Archangel near the monument in honor of the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident.

38 years ago, April 26, 1986 will forever remain in human hearts as the Day of Remembrance for those killed in radiation accidents and disasters, as a day of gratitude to people who selflessly stood up for protection from nuclear danger, as a reminder of humanity’s responsibility for the fate of the planet. Representatives of the city authorities, participants in the liquidation of the accident, students and schoolchildren of educational institutions in Zhodino, and representatives of public organizations gathered to honor the memory of the victims. A prayer service for the dead was performed by the rector of the Transfiguration Church in the city of Zhodino, cleric of the Church of the Holy Archangel Michael, priest Viktor Bordiyan.

We sincerely want to wish everyone a safe, bright, kind, happy world, in which there is no place for tragedies, cataclysms and catastrophes. Remember all those good and kind people whose lives were taken by this day. Don't forget all those heroes who sacrificed their lives for our bright future.
