2025-10-02

On October 2nd, the annual "Karavai, Karavai!" festival, dedicated to International Day of the Elderly, took place! People of "elegant age" gathered within the welcoming walls of the Cultural Center to share a sea of positive emotions, heartfelt songs, and, of course, delicious treats with each other and guests. A symbolic moment was the ceremonial presentation of the main karavai (loaf) of the festival to Tatyana Petrovna Navrotskaya, chairperson of the city's public association of veterans, and invited guests—WWII veterans Filipp Ivanovich Karlov and Lidiya Andreyevna Sushkevich, whose fortitude and courage are an example for all generations. This year's festival theme was dedicated to the symbol of wealth and prosperity—Bread! The main requirement of the festival was the making and creative presentation of the karavai. Each participant proudly presented their culinary masterpieces—fragrant loaves, prepared with love. The karavai (loaf) contest was full of friendly excitement and creativity, and all participants received certificates for their creativity and active participation in the veterans' organization. The most creative and talented groups in our city participated in the festival today. We express our sincere gratitude to all participants, organizers, and guests for their warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm. We wish everyone a long and happy life, good health, peace, and prosperity! May every day be filled with joy, love, and bright moments!
