On the eve of Remembrance Day for Internationalist Soldiers, an event dedicated to the heroism of Soviet soldiers in Afghanistan was held at the Cultural Center. Today, we once again bowed our heads before the courage of those who fulfilled their duty far from their homeland and observed a moment of silence in memory of our fellow countrymen who never returned from that distant and harsh war. City leaders addressed the younger generation with a message of encouragement, emphasizing the value of peace and loyalty to duty. Special words of gratitude were addressed to the leaders and members of patriotic clubs, as well as to those who tirelessly work to preserve the historical memory of the heroic pages of our history. The folk patriotic song ensemble "Salang" conveyed the atmosphere of those years, the pain, and the courage of the soldiers through their performances. May the flame of memory of these heroes never fade! May the terrible days of war remain only in the pages of history, and may our children never know their bitter taste. We will live under peaceful skies, knowing that our homeland is always under the reliable protection of true patriots!
