On June 22, National Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Great Patriotic War and the Genocide of the Belarusian People, Minsk Region Governor Alexei Kushnarenko, along with representatives of regional and city authorities, businesses, public organizations, and young people, honored the memory of those who perished in the Great Patriotic War. The location for the monument's laying, during the Year of the Belarusian Woman, was chosen deliberately – it honors the Soviet mother and patriot, A.F. Kupriyanova. The monument annually attracts over a thousand residents and visitors to honor the memory of a woman who embodied invincible strength and power.
