National Unity Day

2026-09-17

On September 17, Zhodino—along with the entire country—celebrated National Unity Day on a grand and heartfelt scale, honoring our strength, history, independence, and solidarity. Alexander Nikolaevich Tsivako, Chairman of the Zhodino City Executive Committee, presented well-deserved Letters of Appreciation to the heads of the city’s major enterprises, a local deputy, and various work collectives in recognition of their active civic engagement and dedication to improving their hometown of Zhodino. In a festive ceremony, membership cards for the "Belaya Rus" public association were presented to active educators from the community. Touching poetry recitations by local youth—accompanied by live flute and violin music—along with a vibrant performance by majorettes and vocal numbers from the "Orpheus" exemplary song theater, reminded everyone that our future is in safe hands. The celebration concluded with a collective flower-laying ceremony, as well as a city-wide running race and a bicycle ride, symbolizing peace and constructive endeavor! We are a united, strong, and indivisible nation. As long as we stand together, we can achieve anything!
